ABOUT
Picaro is closely related to the celebrated stallion Don Juan de Hus, who caused a stir at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses, as did his famous sons D’Avie and Don Martilo, who both captured the world title. Picaro’s dam Jo-Noverette is a half-sister to Don Juan’s dam Vodorette. This mare was the reserve champion of the KWPN dressage inspection in Turnhout and is a half-sister to the KWPN-selected stallion Triomf (s. Krack C). Jo-Noverette’s sire Apache is a successful Grand Prix horse and a stallion who is putting his stamp on the breeding industry. This dam-line has produced multiple good performance dressage horses.
Picaro is from Fürst Dior’s first crop of foals. The stallion won the sport test in Germany with an average score of 8.83. He inherited his talent from his successful sire Fürstenball and his dam’s sire Sir Donnerhall I.
